Founding agency partners, Paul Fleming and Laurie Van Metre
Supporting B2B marketing teams for 35 years.
Paul Fleming (the F) and Laurie Van Metre (the VM) founded this agency in 1987 with curiosity and passion for the work our B2B clients do.
Three decades and many successes later, we’re still committed to uncovering the unique value our clients bring to their respective industries.
Whether it’s building a new brand, positioning a product for cross-sell, or introducing a new website with targeted digital advertising tactics, we equip B2B marketers with the language and selling tools to gain traction — especially within niche markets.

Strategic minds, creative muscle.
Meet the people who bring interdisciplinary ideas to every project at FVM.
Christiana graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia and sped straight to FVM with a portfolio that already included work for Di Bruno Brothers and University of Pennsylvania. Passionate and informed, Christiana approaches branding, illustration, layout, and product design with an infectious “bring it on” attitude. She supplements her popularity in the agency with three well-stocked snack drawers.
For 20 years, Karen has brought a research-minded approach and unquestionable results to FVM’s top accounts. Today, she leads the agency — meeting client needs with a keen ear for pain points and a sharp eye for high-impact industry trends. With three sons and a husband at home, Karen spends her out-of-office time stocking a self-emptying fridge and cheering on her champs at countless youth sporting events.
A lifelong visual artist, Mia leverages her creative background in painting, drawing, and dancing to bring concepts to life. She pulls inspiration from nature and architecture to inform her clean, minimal digital designs. When she’s not traversing Philadelphia with a puzzle book in hand, Mia enjoys traveling and teaching future generations of dancers.
A straight shooter and pragmatist, Coleman manages FVM and its client services with a focus on simplicity. That means streamlining complex strategies to move mountains and get every account to its goals. Super considered and approachable, he makes employees and clients feel heard. Coleman spends his free time writing, recording, and performing original tunes at sessions and shows across Philadelphia.
Helen takes accounting, personnel, and business matters seriously, having kept FVM a fine-tuned marketing machine for 18 years. The perfect blend of practical, professional, and personal, she knows what it takes to crunch numbers and crush budgets — all while (politely) getting timesheets in on schedule. In her off hours, Helen can be found in the garden, on trails, or at weekend Porsche rallies with her husband.
Jon has helmed more than two dozen branding, rebranding, and repositioning projects at FVM — and those are just the ones he remembers! Keen on asking questions, testing ideas, and cracking jokes, he spurs creative to delight clients with concepts that nail targets, win over execs, and stand out. When he’s not scribbling furiously on his tablet, Jon’s waist-deep in hobbies that include fish care, PC gaming, and learning useless facts.
